At noon, Spitfires of 603 Squadron shoot down 1 Heinkel He111 off Montrose Scotland. Further South, convoys are attacked in the English Channel off the coast of Essex and Suffolk. At 3.30 PM, Hurricanes of 85 Squadron shoot down 1 Messerschmitt Bf110 of Southwold, Suffolk. No British fighters are lost. Overnight, there are a few small bombing raids over Southeast England, South Wales and the Midlands.
